My name is Cathy Baumbusch, professionally known as Cathy B. I am a vocalist whose background consists of a variety of training and experience in major works classical music as well as rock, pop, and country genres. I have been a vocalist for over 30 years and have also studied some guitar and piano. I have participated in high school choruses to include mixed voice, show chorus, chamber, and small ensemble. I am currently the manager and lead singer of CB RADIO, a rock cover band based in Northern Virginia and Constant Velocity, a classic rock duo act. I am also an alto in Choralis, a 100-person, all-audition, semi-professional chorus based in Washington, D.C.
I am currently self-employed and I am available for session work in the local area. I have over 20 years experience as a vocalist. I possess solid vocals, the ability to read music, and can pick up melodies and harmonies quickly. My core strengths are, harmonization skills, music theory study with Berklee Online School of Music, 8+ years experience performing in live bands as a lead and backup singer, and studio experience.
